Munich

We are located close to the "Kunstareal München" next to Pinakothek der Moderne and Museum Brandhorst (under construction).

You find us in Block C (Barer Str.) in the first and second floor of the university building. Just follow the signs "Museum Reich der Kristalle", which is in the same building.

From Munich airport (MUC):
• by Taxi: travel time about 50 minutes, fare approx. € 60.
• by S-Bahn: S8 or S1 to Hauptbahnhof (main station). The total travel time to LMU is about 1 h. You need a MVV ticket for 8.80 € (Einzelfahrkarte 4 Zonen) which is valid for S-Bahn, U-Bahn, Tram and Bus.

From Hauptbahnhof (main station):
• by Taxi: travel time about 10 minutes, fare approx. € 8.
• by Bus: Take bus 100 (Museumsline, direction Ostbahnhof) to Pinakothek or Amalienstr. (The most convenient option).
• by U-Bahn: U2 to Theresienstrasse and walk 10 min.
• by Tram: walk 10 min to Stachus (Karlsplatz) or take Tram 18 (direction Effnerplatz) to Stachus (Karlsplatz)
from Stachus take Tram 27 (direction Petuelring) exit at "Pinakotheken".
• on your feet in about 20-30 min. Follow Bahnhofsplatz, Luisenstr. to Königsplatz and cross to Arcisstr. and Barer Str. through the parks. You pass by Königsplatz, Antikensammlung, Glyptothek, Neue Pinakothek and Pinakothek der Moderne (The cheapest and most scenic option).
