Research Group NanoBioMat
PD Dr. Robert Stark
The activities of the research group of Dr. Robert Stark focus on the investigation of different methods for the nanostructuring and analysis of biological and biocompatible materials. The challenges in nanobiotechnology require a cross-disciplinary approach. The combination of microfluidic devices with mechanical and optical manipulation tools allows for the nanoscopic characterization as well as for the modification of biological and biocompatible surfaces in a nearly natural environment. New measurement strategies in the field of atomic-force microscopy ensure a higher accuracy for the determination of material properties such as visco-elasticity, adhesion or chemical properties on the nanometer scale. |
